Lyra grew up in a hidden coven of assassins on Estia, led by her father. Her mother is human, and her half-elven heritage made her somewhat of an outcast. At age 16, she ran away from Vatnafell, eventually ending up in Greystone. There, she made her living by playing her pan flute. She was discovered by Callia Jane, the headmaster of the School or Rhetoric and Oratory, and given a scholarship where she trained as a bard. She discarded her old family name, taking the stage name of Lyra von Quill. Now she travels the Estian Islands, looking to forge a destiny for herself, apart from her family.

Lyra is First Mate on the Freya's Purpose.
