Loki, God of Deceit

Loki the Deceiver is almost never worshipped openly within the borders of Estian civilization. Acolytes of Loki usually keep their beliefs a secret, even from others who might share the same faith. The one exception to this are the Drow elves of the Underdark, who openly worship Loki as the Spider Prince, ever plotting to advance the standing of their houses.

Loki is the father of the giants.

Ideals of Loki

Devotion My devotion to my god is more important to me than what they stand for. (Any)

Misdirection I sew discord by always staying in the shadows and letting others take the blame. (Chaotic)

Secrecy Whatever I am up to, I don't wan't anyone else to know. (Any)

Ambush The best attacks are swift and unexpected. (Any)

Indifference I do not care what befalls others, as long as I am not affected. (Chaotic)

Acquisition If I see something I want, I will take it for myself. (Evil)

Earning and losing piety

You increase your piety score to Loki when you expand the influence of deceit by committing acts such as these:

• Have one of your crimes blamed on someone else
• Set up and execute a successful ambush
• Successfully perform a heist
• Defile the temple of another god

Your piety score to Loki decreases if you diminish his influence, contradict his ideals or otherwise ridicule him through acts such as these:

• Show mercy to a defeated opponent
• Kill a spider
• Reveal secrets about yourself to anyone but Loki

Loki's Devotee

Piety 3+ Loki trait

The Deceiver hides you beneath his mantle. You can cast Disguise Self at will.

Loki's Adherent

Piety 10+ Loki trait

Loki's enemies will tremble before you. You can cast Fear once per long rest.

Loki's Disciple

Piety 25+ Loki trait

You can cast Polymorph once per long rest, but you can only turn into a Giant Spider. You keep your mental scores when you transform.

Champion of Deceit

Piety 50+ Loki trait

You can increase your Intelligence or Charisma by 2 and also your maximum for that score by 2.
