Council considers military action
COVENANT The debate on how best to respond to recent elven attacks continues on the Council. General Lysander Breckenridge leads the advocacy for an armed response, opposed by Count Lucian Blaise. It has come to the Bulletin's attention that some Purple Legion war plans have been activated, and legionnaires are mustering across Estia and Cottenhorn.
The Ambassador from Iacaris gave a brief comment as he left Council Hall last night: "The Estian Council must come to their senses before the Kingdom of Iacaris has no choice but to respond in kind. We had nothing to do with these horrible attacks, but war hawks on the Council seem intent on the worst outcome for both the League and for Iacaris." Co p 2
Archive Fire in Greystone
A fire consumed a large part of an alchemical greenhouse on the Archive grounds in Greystone the night before yesterday. A spokesperson for Archmage Hedwig Crimeon said in a statement: "The library was not damaged, thank Odin."
The cause of the fire is as of yet unknown, but the Bulletin can report that the authorities are looking into students growing fire laurel, a valuable herb that is known to spontaneously combust if grown without the proper precautions.
This turn of events is sure to exacerbate the recent shortage of alchemical ingredients that have driven potion prices up.
