Assassin's Wristblade
This wristblade looks like an ordinary leather bracer, but it holds a deadly secret. When you attack with it, you extend a spring-loaded blade that delivers silent and lethal strikes. This weapon type is favored by infiltrating assassins who are long gone once their victims are discovered, but it is a capable weapon in open combat as well.
You cannot be disarmed of this weapon unless you are Incapacitated, and you have advantage on any ability checks made to conceal it. The hand that wields it also considered to be an open hand, but you cannot attack with the blade if you are holding something in the hand.
Dormant
- You gain a +1 bonus to attacks and damage rolls with the dagger, and your poison DC increases by 1 for poisons delivered with this weapon.
- If you trigger Sneak Attack on an attack that delivers poison, your Sneak Attack dice explode (as long as you roll the maximum number on the dice, you can reroll it and add it to the total).
- Air Assassinate: If you make a melee attack against creature with the dagger as you fall at least 20 feet onto them you have advantage on the attack. If the attack hits, you take no fall damage.
Awakened
- The dagger's bonus to attack and damage rolls increases to +2, as does the bonus to your poison DC.
- The bracer gains a spring-loaded dart mechanism. When used this way, the weapon uses the statistics of a Dart.
- If you deal Sneak Attack damage when you use Air Assassinate, your Sneak Attack dice becomes d8s.
Exalted
- The dagger's bonus to attack and damage rolls increases to +3, as does the bonus to your poison DC.
- Attacks with this dagger deal a critical hit on a 19.
- If you Air Assassinate a target on the first round of combat and deal more than half their total hit points of damage, the target dies. Creatures with Legendary Resistance are immune to this effect.
