This heavy shield is made from enchanted grey marble. A sculpted medusa face adorns its front. The eyes of the medusa and its snake hair are made from emeralds and seems to follow anyone who looks at the shield.

You gain a +1 bonus to your AC when you wield the shield, in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC.

Additionally, once per long rest, you can use your action to present the shield, sending a wave of sorrowful energy to all creatures of your choice within 30 feet. All affected creatures must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 14 or your spellcasting DC, whichever is highest). On a failure, sorrow overtakes them and they are paralyzed until the end of their next turn. Creatures immune to the frightened condition are immune to this effect.
