You send a colored mote of light toward a point within 300 feet that you can see, where it hovers for one minute before dissipating harmlessly. You choose the color of the light, which is easily visible for a mile in daylight, or two miles in darkness.
If you conjure another flare while you have one active, the first one disappears.
