Westford

A small village on the coast that serves as the harbor of Owl Rock. Many ships make stops here to fill their holds with wheat and other cereals.

Harbor

The Westford harbor serves a large part of the Wheatplains, as the western part of that peninsula is much more protected from the elements.

The harbor master's office is usually busy with sailors trying to negotiate prices and tariffs with the local authorities.

Harbormaster Matilda Southwind

(human, LN, 37): Took over the job after her father. She dreams of one day captaining her own ship instead of directing the loading and unloading of cargo. Matilda has plenty of influence in the town, and is the closest thing to a mayor. She would not stay in her position if she did not bring considerable income to House Tuveren.

'Redtail'

(tabaxi, CN, 29): Courier, who reports to Enigma. She has deep copper fur and large ears that make her appear almost fox-like. Redtail swears like a sailor when she talks. She can arrange goods to go almost anywhere in the Islands without the authorities learning of it, for a fee.

Harbormarket

The Harbormarket handles not only sales of large quantities of wheat, rye, and oats, but also trades in other goods. It is a large stone building next to the Harbormaster's office.

Ragnar Inkscream

(dwarf apprentice tattoo artist, TN, 42): Ragnar's designs can be found on many sailors who pass through Westford.

Perry 'Doc' Darkless

(human, CG, 49): "Doctor" who thinks his ointments and tinctures are magical cure-alls to rival a true healer. Most of his concoctions are harmless, some of them have a minor effect, a few are outright dangerous.

  • Perry's Purification Philter: Roll 1d6: On 4-6, gain Lesser Restoration. On 1-3, poisoned for 1 minute.
  • Perry's Panacea Potion: Roll 1d6. On 4-6, regular healing potion (7 (2+2d4) healing). On 1-3, no effect.
  • Perry's Power-Pills: Roll 1d6. On 4-6, gain Bless for one minute. On 1-3, gain Bane for 1 minute.
  • Dr. Darkless's Deadly Dosage: Poison: Target needs to make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or 14 (4d6) poison damage.

The Brass Tankard

Poor inn

The only place in town where beds are offered is the Tankard, whose clientele consists of sailors on shore leave and not much else. Gambling, especially elevens, is the main activity here, but darts are also commonly played.

Elias Galeswell

(human, LN, 32): Owner and proprietor of the Tankard.

The Tankard is a safehouse for the Harbingers. They sometimes close the inn and have ceremonies in Azrael's name here.

Shrine to Thor

Amid the piers and storehouses, a dilapidated Shrine of Thor provides minor services for the sailors here.

Gideon Morningbrook

(human, CG, 61): Attendant at the Shrine. Gideon has tended the Shrine since he was a teenager.
