Multiple Attacks by Groups of Elves
What appears to be simultaneous, co-ordinated attacks in multiple cities across the League, took the lives of least five members of society on the night of the Autumnal Equinox.
In Covenant, Lady Lucina of the Cornelii was struck down in the Upper Tier, only blocks from her abode. Multiple eye-witnesses report seeing a group of armed elves flee the scene before guards could respond. "It was horrible," said one witness who wishes to remain anonymous. "The elves cut her down, shouting 'Death to the League!' as they ran away."
The Bulletin's reporter in Heimdall's Anvil also sent word that Priestess Svala Strongheart was attacked during a service in the Temple of Heimdall. Those in attendance say she made a valiant stand, but perished against her brazen attackers, which included at least one powerful mage. Also dead is one of her attendants, whose identity remains unknown.
According to Bulletin sources, the Purple Legion have been put on heightened alert and the Council is expected to hold an emergency session some time today. Cont. page 2-6.
On-stage Murder Averted!
During the finale of The Dread Gift, the renowned actress Cordelia Thaleril was attacked on stage by a group of elven thugs during what could have been her final soliloquy.
Thankfully, she was spared from their blades by the quick action of heroic bystanders. If this attack had been successful, it would have snuffed out one of the most brightly glowing stars of Estian show-business.
Iacaris Envoy Silent
There have been no word on the attacks from Silvar Harlaeth, the Ambassador of Iacaris in Covenant. The Embassy has posted additional armed guards outside their gates, but refuse to speak to our reporter.
A small crowd has gathered outside the embassy, seeking answers on why groups of elves seemingly connected to the southern Kingdom are running rampant in the League.
