Evasion: When subjected to an effect that requires a Dexterity saving throw, Angelica takes no damage if she succeeds, and only half damage if she fails.

Superior Techniques (5/short rest): When Angelica hits with an attack roll, she can add one of the following effects (if the effect requires a saving throw, the DC is 16:

  • The target cannot take reactions until the start of Angelica's next turn.
  • The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be pushed back 10 feet.
  • The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be Frightened of Angelica until the start of Angelica's next turn.

Cunning Action: Angelica can take the Dash, Disengage or Hide action as a Bonus Action.

Multiattack: Angelica can make two attacks with her rapier, and one with a Flintlock as a Bonus Action.

Rapier: Melee weapon attack: +9 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 14 (2d8+5) slashing damage.

Flintlock: Ranged weapon attack: +9 to hit, reach 30/60ft, one target. Hit: 19 (4d6+5) piercing damage.

Reactions

Riposte: When a creature misses Angelica with a melee attack, she can make one Rapier attack against that creature.

Lair Actions

If Angelica is fought on her ship (the Cruel Mistress), or in a boarding action, she calls out to her crew at initiative count 20, and 1d4 Pirate Crewmember minions join the fray from the Mistress. These minions (1hp, evasion) act on initiative count 10.


Angelica 'the Siren' is the charismatic captain of the Cruel Mistress, an infamous pirate ship. She is ruthless and very quick-talking.

She has spread rumors that she is actually a fey being that snares pirates to work for her with magic, but these are baseless. This does not detract from the fact that she is an excellent swordswoman, who has cut down many foes in single combat.
