Diamonds have an unparalleled brillant luster and are usually colorless, but can have many subtle colorations. They are the hardest known gemstone, which makes shaping them an art of its own. Many lapidaries have dulled or broken their tools by trying to grind them too aggressively.
Diamonds are a symbol of Freya, the Lady of Light. All diamonds are excellent carriers of positive essence, and the most brilliant ones produce an almost sun-like luster.
Diamonds are found underground in volcanically active rock. In the Estian Sea, they can be found in various places, but most notably in the Ore-chasm, north of Covenant and in Maer Mithril on Iacaris.
