Judgment
This large warhammer is made from golden metal and adorned with fleur-de-lis. Each time Judgment impacts a target it makes a deep ringing sound, reminiscent of a temple gong.
The hammer is the symbol of office of the Champion of Whitport on the Lodge of the Roses, symbolizing their rightful claim to dispense justice unto the enemies of the League.
Judgment is a weapon designed to uphold law and order. It will not serve a chaotic master, rejecting their attempts to attune to it.
Dormant
- You gain a +1 bonus to your attack and damage rolls with this weapon, which can be used as a holy symbol for you.
- The range of your Lay on Hands feature increases to 30 feet, and you can use it as a bonus action.
- When you use Divine Smite on an attack from this weapon, the hammer rings out and the target is found wanting. The target has disadvantage on the next attack roll it makes until the start of your next turn.
Upgrade: Recover the lapis strips that once adorned the side of the hammer in sunburst patterns.
Awakened
- The weapon's bonus to attack and damage rolls increases to +2.
- Your attacks with Judgment deal a critical hit on a 19.
- Once per short rest, you can use Divine Smite for free as if you spent your highest-level spell slot.
Upgrade: Recover the sapphires that once sat at the center of each sunburst.
Exalted
- You gain a +1 bonus to your spell attack rolls and spell save DC while holding the hammer.
- The weapon gains the Thrown(20/60) property. It returns to your hand immediately after you make an attack with it, hit or miss, and you can apply Divine Smite on thrown attacks you make with it.
- Any spell slot you spend on Divine Smite count as one level higher.
