Magisquirrel
tiny fey, chaotic good
- At will: Detect Magic
- 1/day each: Counterspell
Magic Resistance: The squirrel has advantage on saving throws versus spells and other magical effects. If the squirrel succeeds on a saving throw versus a spell that would normally allow it to take half damage, it instead takes none.
Treetop Foragers: The squirrel ignores difficult terrain caused by non-magical plants and trees.
Beast Speak: Can speak with all beasts, even those that do not have a language of their own.
Actions
Claws: Melee weapon attack: +5 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 5 (1d4+3) slashing damage.
Blink: The squirrel teleports up to 15 ft to an unoccupied space it can see.
Invisibility: The squirrel magically turns invisible until it attacks or casts a spell, or until its concentration ends (as if concentrating on a spell). Anything the squirrel carries also becomes invisible.
A squirrel that grows up eating rawsley can sometimes gain magical powers. They act as protectors of the forest and the animals.
They spend most of their time invisible, patrolling the forests where they live for threats. Were it to find a threat it cannot handle on its own, the magisqurrel will find the nearest large predator and guide it towards the intruders.
If you spot a magisquirrel that is not invisible, they are easily recognized, as their blue fur and rainbow-colored tails make them stand out on any background. Its eyes are windows to the weave itself.
It is possible to earn the service of a Magisquirrel as a familiar, if one could be found and befriended. Trying to keep one as a pet without its consent is a doomed endeavour.
